Your teenager is beginning to develop their own ideas, self-image, and opinions. You are probably starting to notice that these don’t always align with your own views, and that’s OK! Learning to become independent is a normal part of adolescence… it is actually the whole point. You went through your own transition into adulthood—which likely included some rebellion or questioning—and your children must do the same.
That doesn’t make your job as a caregiver any easier. Teenagers often experience intense pressure and face many difficult choices. Puberty is beginning at an earlier age than ever before. That is when the way they experience the world and their own emotions change significantly.
Through the Parenting Teens workshop, you will learn some practical ways to help guide your children through this challenging period by teaching them how to understand and control their feelings and actions. We want you to appreciate this time in your child’s life while taking care of yourself.

Group workshops are Fridays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at our offices at 9912-106 Street
