In all its work with families, The Family Centre strives to help families recognize, strengthen and broaden their assets, so they can be more effective as a family unit and as individual family members. TFC staff work with parents and children to help them understand and value their individual assets, strengths and skills, and how building upon these assets will strengthen not only their health and effectiveness, but the effectiveness of the family as a whole.
Reunification Homes are a service that draws upon a core of The Family Centre resources, complimented by other related The Family Centre or community resources, in order to support all family members to experience success in a reunified family process.

An Achievement Plan, in consultation with the family, child(ren), Family Intervention Generalist (FIG), case worker and program staff is developed and reviewed monthly at Service Team meetings.
-
Parents / guardians involvement is significant to the success of family reunification; therefore are an important member of the child and family team. Parents and guardians are encouraged and supported to accompany their child(ren) to appointments, to spending significant time along side their child(ren) in the home, community and in their family home.
