North East Action for Teens (N.E.A.T.)
In partnership with Clareview Community Builders the N.E.A.T. project provides accessible community gathering places for Clareview youth aged 13 – 17 who have few positive opportunities available close to home. These gathering places offer opportunities for youth to take part in social, recreational and educational programming free of charge that address their interest and needs. Through responsive, innovative programming and skilled program leadership youth increase their internal and external assets, so that they are less vulnerable to the negative impact of known risks in their communities.
Program Goals:
- To increase youth’s external resources
- To increase youth’s internal resource/resiliencies
- To increase connection between youth and their community
Programming is offered in four Clareview communities:
- Bannerman
- Belmont
- Hairsine
- Evergreen
